Doodling (a recreation project)
The "Wayback Machine" had a picture of a skin that used to be on Runboard in 2005! I thought it looked cool but when I went back to look at it last night the "PhotoB..." had destroyed the appearance of the "archive site."
Anyway, I thought it would be cool to try and recreate the old skins look...

Re: Doodling (a recreation project)
I see a difference in the way the ECL defines the width and the way the CSS sets the width of an area. The difference is not significant, but until I change the settings to be all CSS, there is a little jag (maybe 1 pixels difference?).

Re: Doodling (a recreation project)
Dang! I changed the settings over to CSS, and the jig/jag is still there. I suppose I am stuck with creating a container for the boards interior frame.

Okay, The .bgmaster is in place and solves the jig/jag problem.

Re: Doodling (a recreation project)
2/21/2018 - Today's coding progress was limited to the creation of the board's separators and borders.
I think the skin is starting to take shape. One thing is certain. The coding is almost certainly different from what the original skins coding was back in 2005.

Re: Doodling (a recreation project)
2/22/2018 - The first graphic image (besides the smiles) is "The Banner." I made the picture what I consider to be the largest one that will realistically fit inside the area (with 2 pixels of "air space" between the top and bottom boundaries).
I did this without using Runboard's "Community Logo" because the HTML method scores better on search engines than the ECL method does.
The banner is black and white because that was quick and easy. I would not object if someone were to download the board's logo and create a colored version of the picture.

Re: Doodling (a recreation project)
2/24/2018 - I did not get a chance to work on the skin yesterday. LG showed me a method of using fonts that work which allow for some effects while not forcing users to physically download the font before they can see the actual design of the skin.

Re: Doodling (a recreation project)
3/11/2018 - I posted the skin has on the Runboard skins list, and updated the skin show on Runboard Extra.
